Please note that although the citation to the VEMAP 1 data sets indicates a revision, only the VEMAP 1: U.S. Soil data set has been revised. The other VEMAP 1 data sets remain unchanged.

Reason: The data originators at NCAR have corrected some VEMAP1 water holding capacity (WHC) files in which several errors were discovered in Fall 2001.

WHC Correction Summary: The owh1* (organic whc level 1) data were multiplied by 0.5 to correct a previously misapplied correction factor. The Scaling Factor for both owh1* and owh2* files was corrected from 1.0 to 100.0.

Documentation Revisions: These corrections have been made in the documentation.
